i do not get drop d tuning eveyone says you tune down to but the frist place you can get a d note on the low e string is the 10th fret so would'nt tune up?

ABCDEFG

D comes before E in the alphabet, so you would tune the E string down to a D.

haha, ya that's definitely true. Standard E is the highest I go. Don't know any songs that tune UP as far as I know.
