I think what Rick was trying to say is that you should look in the more logical place first before moving your search into different areas; generally speaking people wouldn't expect country-guitar instructors with trash metal-knowledge

I was also surprised to hear that one of my classical-guitar instructors used to play in the biggest deathmetal band of our country, so naturally at first I visited the rock-guitar instructors for advice on rock

to me that's not judging a book by it's cover, but just taking the more logical route to getting an answer, and I'd like to note that right now I feel like a complete wise-ass and will leave this post and take a shower :D
