That's a new term on me regarding guitar audio.

The difference between true bypass and buffered. Basically (in the worst case) buffered is a digital sample of your guitar. Without a true bypass, you never run outside the circuit board that provides the effect. Best you get is a sample of what you put in.

That's a pretty blase description, but basically that's it.

Best case, it's running your sound through it's circuits and then outputs as originally as you can expect.

Anyone feel free to educate me, but to me a buffered sample digitalizes that very thing you really would have wanted to analogue.
