Acoustic guitar pickup advice

hey! I just joined GT recently but have been playing for about 8 yrs. I have a sentimental acoustic Ibanez Performance-PF10 handed down from my late father that I'd like to put a pickup in. Could someone please recommend some modestly-priced good sounding options I could go for as I really don't know too much about pickups and their sounds...but am learning slowly!

oh, PS. On acoustic guitars I really dig the John Mayer and Eric Clapton sounds and style, tho I tend to be more of a percussive rhythm strummer :)
