Chat Room

Hi all,
I think the chat room is a plus in terms of getting to know each other and so on, but it seems like no one even stays on for more than a minute.

Any info as to why?
Come on guys let's make it a fun place.

I never use it. Seems like it would only work if a bunch of people were on at the same time. Then it would just turn into a chat room. I personally have no interest in it really.

I've been trying to hit it more often. Would like to see more folks in it myself.

I've been on there a few times, can't ever catch anyone on there.

I've used it a bit and had some good chats with a couple of others but to be honest I find it a bit of an artificial way to communicate. Back in the day I was always tapping away on my keyboard in real-time chats but now it just seems to me a stilted way to chat. I'm not sure how this sort of thing will evolve but for now it feels old-school :eek:

I don't even know where to find it now that I think about it. Is it only for full members?

Whenever I go on, there is usually only one other person and it is strange. However, I think if they had designated times where you could go on and ask instructors or other people questions, that would be great. Maybe even a video option.

It's to the top of the GT page, same place you would find the "welcome Hunter1801" but only to the right hand side. Not sure if it's only available to full access members. Good luck.

All I see is Account, Sign Out, and Upgrade. I'm guessing I'm not special enough yet.

It is fdr Full Access users only.

This might be a good idea. Maybe a Q & A session on different aspects that could be scheduled periodically. I think they'd have to be really focused. There wouldn't be time for the detailed 2-page responses instructors can leave in the forums.

I've never been much of a chat room person myself (it's even worse than being on the phone), but if there were some purpose involved, I would find it interesting I think to view and/or participate in some real time Q&A.

I'm lost!! I have a teacher that may be a little strange. He's had me strumming the same 3 chords for 2 months!! What the hell is he doing. He will not give me a clear objective. I feel like I'm wasting my money! I've learned nothing.

Seems like a strange thread for you to post this in. Sounds like you're frustrated with your teacher but it's your call as to whether you keep paying him when you feel you're making no progress.

the strange thing happened that after posting this there was a sudden activity in chat and I stayed there for some time explaining scales, there even was the question 'is there a forum? and where is it?' :o
