I'm Dr. Nick.....

Not really....I'm Jon and I'm learning the guitar for the first time....I was convinced I couldn't fret the notes on a 6 string neck until I was noodling around on my friend's Epiphone SG....the neck felt wider than most of the Fender or Fender styled guitars I'd tried in the past....Now, my bass is in the corner most nights and I've bought an Epi Les Paul that I'm learning....Anyway, I'm using this site as well as hitting an instructor up for an hour a month and really, I'm pleased with my progress.....

Hi, Dr. Nick!

Gibson is generally wider at the nut than Fender. A lot of people prefer the wider, thicker neck.

Welcome to the site!
...so ever since then, I always hang on to the buckle.

Only thing I can think of that's missing is a way to slow down the jam track....or maybe some guitar pro downloads of the arrangements would do the same thing....
