Thanks for clarifying -I recall another GT instructor saying that rock can be summed up as playing minor scales over major keys - guess there's more to that than he led on.

Without stealing your thunder for an upcoming lesson, for major key soloing, what would you say are the 2 most important degree notes.

My biggest problem is like you say in the video - I know all sorts of scales, and some theory but have a hard time applying them in a practical live improvising soloing situation without getting overwhelmed(which causes me usually to back off and not try them at all).

I'm at the point where I just need small chunks of info, and then start utilizing them.
