I'd just more people to know that Curious Corn by Ozric Tentacles is absolutely awesome. Ed Wynne is a fabulous guitarist with his own distinctive tone and the entire band are excellent players and arrangers of music. Their production standards are amazing and their music fluidly and coherently crosses great divides effortlessly. There's loads of really spacey synth stuff and you get the impression that they must have spent a long time working out how to synthesise tones that sound that good and the whole thing is underpinned by great muscular rhythms. When I've been listening to it my temples feel warm from the work out it gives my brain.
Anyone know any group like them? Got any other albums by them to recommend?
If I couldn't laugh at myself how could I laugh at someone less ridiculous?
