In all, to do anything you wish to do, it's all about the follow through and more specifically; the will to really make it happen.

I tried playing guitar when I was 13 and 14 but it seemed too much like work. When I turn 17, I really want to play. I had a desire...not only was willing but desired to sit down and really play the thing. Nothing I worked at felt like work. I dug every minute and including the frustration of things I couldn't yet play. It was a matter of practice and reward for figuring it out. Then to be able to blast away with my amp pounding away at my chest when I could play well made me want to get even better.

I started playing in '82 and here I am years later, still enjoying the learning process.

The point is this, enjoy playing guitar if it is something you enjoy doing. If you think working through some of the stuff like F1 and F2 are road blocks, I'd ask if guitar is something you really want.

You may believe that guitar is something you want but you also want to see F1/F2 as challenges and hinderances.

I hope guitar is something you truly like and if you do, good luck with learning.
