Something just clicked.

I have been struggling for about 2 years with guitar, and not really getting very far. The GT site has helped me greatly and i would say that 90% of what i have learned so far has come from here.

My main interest is playing the Blues, and i have followed the course several times but have just got lost with minor blues, dominant 7ths etc.

Tonight i was in the middle af Andy's section on dominant 7ths and it was as if a light clicked on. It all made sense. Suddenly i had so much more 'time' around the chords.

I just thought i had to share this with this great site.

Thanks

Yup, always cool when I get those moments. You practice and practice and keep struggling, then one day it all kinda makes sense and becomes more natural. Except with sweep picking, that is just impossible for me!

Yeah sometimes I'm just playing and I find that perfect tone or finally figure out pinch harmonics. That's a great feeling.

Ya pinch harmonics were like that for me. That's one of those things that is extremely hard to explain and teach because it has a lot to do with your own touch and feeling. It'll never come out right if you do it the wrong way, but once you get it, it just feels right and you know you can do them.
