Its still just a bunch of parts loosely strung together on a bench in my lab, but it sounds great! I use a 6X4 rectifier and a 6AQ5A power tube to drive a pair of 12" speakers from an old portable film projector.

Its still way too loud for me to prctice with at home. I may replace the 6X4 with solid-state diodes and an adjustable regulator so I can reduce the power.

Its still very much 'in the experimental stage', but the results, so far, are very encouraging.
