Greetings,
I'm quite new to the guitar world.....joined guitartricks a couple of weeks ago.

In an earlier email thread, Neal Walter mentioned he uses a Line 6 POD X3 Live to generate his sound.

I realize the X3 Live has tons of preset sounds but was wondering how much control you have in customizing sounds.

Lawrence Katz has a great tutorial on creating the sound that U2's Edge uses by adding in echo and delay.

Can you do the same sort of adjustments with the X3 Live ? If so, how easy is it ?

Doug

Hi, I have the PodX3 bean version.
There is endless capabilities with them. You get the device as well as software that allows you to tweak until you can't tweak anymore.

Having said that, I prefer (up to this point) stand alone pedals. For one thing, I like to mod my pedals. Not going to be as easy if even possible with a POD.

I'm actually digging into my POD manual a bit more over the last day or two. I know I can get even better tones if I try.
