Weak Bar Chords
I know practice is always key but are there any techniques to improve hand strength for bars chords? I feel like I've been held back for a long time now because I tend to want to avoid them because I can never really seem to hit them in time.

I am not sure if I am understanding you right, are you saying you have a problem with hand strength to actually barre across the entire fret with 1 finger? If that is the problem, I had the same one. What I did until I built up my hand strength was to stack my middle finger on top of my index and use both of them to barre the chord.
God said to Abraham, “Kill me a son”
Abe says, “Man, you must be puttin’ me on”
God say, “No.” Abe say, “What?”
God say, “You can do what you want Abe, but
The next time you see me comin’ you better run”
Well Abe says, “Where do you want this killin’ done?”
God says, “Out on Highway 61”

Hi J... yes, that is what I meant. I have a hard time getting the barred notes to ring out. They are more "clunky" than an actual pure tone. I also have a hard time with transitioning into bar chords as well. Though I think as Gordon mentioned, I probably should run through the chord tutorial he posted.
Thanks for the input, any little detail helps :)
