The ML ATF3000 is a pretty guitar. I would wonder about the tone of the Baker pick up. It might not be fat enough for you. It's a great pick but I seem to feel that it keys of note definition in a sense that it may not have that roaring chunk you're looking for.

From the tome you said your looking for, getting something with EMG's might be a pretty good way to go. Have both the chunk when needed and the defined clean sound is one of the key traits of an EMG.
