hi its robs sister sarah. I am trying to do some power chords starting on A string but i keeo hitting g string and i hit the strings very hard and i find it hard work. I am ok at picking single notes but when i hit 2 it sounds terrible and i am knda scared of it as i think i might damage the strings as im hitting it hard but not on purpose. Sarah

try this tutorial, since you are doing power chords I am going to assume you did not start yesterday but this may help, if it is not what you are looking for, in the top right of this forum is a search box, type in some key words that more describe what you mean if this is not it. It sounds to me like you are digging in to far which is likely being cause by your grip on the pick.
