Hello GT,
As a full member of guitar tricks it's disappointing to not be able to participate in the contests because I'm not American.
Why is that?
Thank you.

Seconded!

There was a thread showing how many people were from UK on GT, so come on guys, open up the competitions to all.

I feel your pain and it would be nice but Import laws, tax, shipping and tariff costs, brand or product infringement laws for a particular country (we can all thank our own governing bodies for those, including the US), each one different, could you imagine having to know and comply with every country's laws as well as US laws on the same that conflict or prevent such things.

I mean its illegal for me to buy, import or possess a cuban cigar... go figure.

GT would need a legal team just for that, much easier just to deal with one country's laws, the one you originate in.

Also I believe that most of the contests are more from suppliers such as Sweetwater than GT themselves, who knows what their stipulations are.

Don't insult my intelligence please Sir.
I'll wait for a formal and honest answer.
Thank you

That was a little harsh. I don't think he intended to insult your intelligence in light of noting that he feels the pain, so to speak. Also that the info provided was correct too.

Folks here are trying to be helpful and I've seen nearly none that don't act in such a manner and shrek is the same in what posts I've seen.

It might have been more appropriate to ask shrek if he knew where that international info had been posted instead of insulting. shrek's tone was not at all rude and I found your response to be inappropriate. Since, obviously, I am not a staff member, this is just my opinion but given the tone of the replies, I really wanted to note that your reply was disproportionate to shrek's.
