I am trying to do a bluesy riff using an open A
so I am starting on the B string and hitting it upwards but either hit too hard or miss strings out.

What I dont get is how to put a rhythmic feel into it like the blues rather than continous strumming like indie down up down up etc..

are there any bridges to this technique to get me ther as it sounds poor at the moment.
