I've been looking for a teacher

And this website really speaks to me

I think many are in the same place, Belinda. Welcome. I know it's been a help to me just to know that there are others out there working hard to become better players as well. In some ways, it's almost like a family lol.

I did have a teacher for a couple of months 25 bucks 45 minutes once a week. Learned a lot of great chords and stopped lessons. Stopped playing guitar too. I'm back in love with the guitar again.

I took lessons for about a month. The guy I was taking them from would show me a chord, I'd try it, he'd take my guitar and show me again...

...then he'd say, "And when you get really good, you'll be able to do this!" and then go on to jam on my guitar while I watched for 45 minutes.

He did this twice before I quit taking lessons from him. Now I've found this site and there's no looking back.
