Hi all,

This is to UK readers primarily - as you are probably aware, a campaign exists to force Simon Cowell's x factor effort from its now traditional Christmas No.1 spot by buying 'Killing in the name' by rage against the machine.

I don't know about you, but I can't stand the way the music industry has been manipulated by tv 'talent' shows and would much rather see it manipulated by people power. 29p directed at amazon's mp3 downloads is all it takes to make your contribution, obviously many other retailers also count towards the chart so it's your choice there.

With apologies for the blatant plug, I consider this a worthy cause and would appreciate your support. I should also mention that all proceeds made by rage since they became aware of this effort are going to UK homeless charities, which is pretty cool of them.

Thanks for listening,

ren

All hail to Rage

From Johnny Walker on the radio this morning "Simon Cowell was magnanimous in defeat.............From a beach in Bermuda." :D

I wouldn't have minded Dylan with "Here comes Santa Claus" either! ;)

I caught wind of this whole thing yesterday from a fellow Englishman. Very interesting that a song released in 1992 can still resound so much controversy. I dig!
