I have uploaded one of my original tracks, entitled "That Familiar Place." Tracks features myself on acoustic and vocals, as well as GT instructor Anders Mouridsen on dobro and electric guitar. Very americana feel with some modern weirdness thrown in for fun. Enjoy! Any feedback is welcome.

I like it, has the right mix of americana and weirdness to it.
Can we expect more from you two?

Thanks for the kind words. This track is part of an original project of mine of songs I write and produce called CLASSICS. I asked Anders to play on this track and he did a great job, as did all the other musicians that played on it. If you like that song, you can download all the songs from that EP at the link below for free. After the new year, I am going to take the free site down and move it over to CD Baby as I have been giving the stuff away all year. Consider it a X-mas gift from me. Anyway, enjoy and thanks for the kind words.

I love the track. I'd like to hear it without the drums. The drums playing is great, but I bet some of the voices and playing would be more prominent without. Just my opinion for what it may be worth. I've only been playing a short time, so consider the source.

This song is often played acoustic with just guitar and vocals, with the occasional dobro (by Mr. Anders) sitting in. I have an instrumental version of this without vocals but that is about it. Thanks for the kind words and more music is on the way. You can download all the songs from that EP at the link below;

Nice tune, Douglas! I like it.

Are you singing?

I dig the handclaps

Thanks! I am singing. I wrote the vocal arrangement and lyrics, as well as the music. Anders Mouridsen plays dobro on the song, as well as electric guitar.

The hand claps were a last minute addition that I think really worked. There are two different patterns going on at the same time.

Was a very fun song to record and write; and am glad you enjoyed it. You can check out other tracks from that EP for free at the link below:
