I guess that it's just a matter of cimmitting the peice to memory..
practice practice and rehearsh..

A tip I heard of remembering lyric is to visualize them..

As I walked out in the streets of Laredo
-see yourself walking down a street-
As I walked out in Laredo one day
-look around the old western town-
I saw a young cowboy, all dressed in white linen
-see a mummy laying across a horse back-
Dressed in white linen, as cold as the clay
-see white linen turning blue-

Does it work.? Maybe for some folks..!

lyrics are hard to remember. As far as rembering the sequence of the chords in a song, I find overlearning small segments and them putting them together works for me.
