Hello!

I have a Fender Stage 100 SS amp, 1 x 12", 100 watts of pure SS power. Way toooooo loud for me and has only been used at small band rehearsals (and still way too loud). This amp has a Line Out, and I'd like to run this directly into my small mixer, but because of the volume through the speaker, I'm thinking about disconnecting the speaker.

I do not have the amp with me right now, but I think this has a headphone out jack which may or may not disengage the speaker (haven't tried it), and this may work as an alternative to physically disconnecting the speaker.

Will I do any damage to the amp portion if I disconnect the speaker? I've heard that this is not a good idea on a tube amp, but I haven't seen this discussed for a SS amp. Any ideas/suggestions?

Thanks!

Rob
