I'm asking about the best way to utilize "D" tuning without overusing the one finger powerchord that most of the nu-metal bands are doing...I want to use "D" but play stuff like "Diary of a Madman" or "Avoid the Light". Stuff that has a classical flair to it, but still has a grinding metal feel to it also. Kinda like a mixture of Pantera, Metallica, and Tourniquet. And thanx, I'll check out Yngwie...
