I think I'm becoming a Strat convert. 6 months ago I would practically spit on one. Now it's the guitar I grab all the time. Weird.
...so ever since then, I always hang on to the buckle.

True! I said 'practically'. Listen, if you saw some if the guitars I have and love, you'd laugh. :) I think getting back into music, I was coming from my heavier rock background and hadn't adjusted yet. I have really ignored music for 2 decades, and it seems that, in my old age, my tastes have changed a lot.

One thing I notice especially is that it's the only neck I pick up that I don't have that few seconds adjustment to. I think 9 1/2 is "my" radius. And I like the chime. The tone I used to like was always dark, heavy & edgy. Mind you I still need that fix. ...As you say, all guitars have a place.
