2. Feeling the burn in your forearm muscles is just a stamina probleme, over time this will fix itself. But for now, do not over practice your guitar to the point where it can cause injuries. Focusing on relaxation is a very GOOD idea! I give you props for this! So when you start to feel the burn, slow it down a bite and focus on your relaxation and the tension.
3. To notice a big difference in a couple days of playing an excercise, speed wise is rare. Give yourself a month or 2 to really notice something greatly. This may seem like alot of time, but speed will never be reached through a couple of days.
My suggestion is, record yourself right now at the top speed your at, at the moment with any technique you wish. Practice, practice, practice and than after a month or 2, record yourself again at the top speed your at then, and then compare the two recordings. This si where you will notice much difference in your playing speed. But when you practice, make sure you practice the RIGHT technique. DO NOT half ass IT. Please! If you want to achieve great speed, you will need to master the technique first! that is why learning new excercises ever week or so may be to much.
4. Again, I stated this in the first number, but once you mastered that technique and practiced mastering it for a week, after that week is where you should start aiming for great speed. And after you learn another excercise, dont stop playing the other ones. keep playing and practicing them. I know after a while you will have lots of excercises, but try and equal them out everyday.
Dude 2 years doesnt sound lame, in 2 years you can accomplish alot of speed. ]
