Need a little help deciding. New trem or a tube screamer?

Thinking I want to replace the trem on my Striker... Yes, I know I gave it raving reviews and i still like the guitar, but... I know it can be better.

OR

Should I pick up a used TS-9 Tube Screamer I found locally for $65.00 ?

I want them both, but really need to pick only one.

Arguments for either anyone?

I have the tube screamer model in my Line6 PodX3. I love it. it gives such an organic sound. You may be asking, if I have that model in my pod, why get the pedal? Because I don't want to use my pod for my main affects. I would have to run the output of the pod in the return on the loop effects on the amp which totally bypasses the amps pre-amp...


Don't NEED either of the two but damn it... Learning to play guitar gives you a bad case of the 'smores'. I want some more pedals, some more guitars, some more strings, some more amps. :rolleyes:

Tube Screamer first. Whammy is fun but tone is essential.

Got the tube screamer. Going to be fun dialing it in.

if you like ffdp then get the screamer. that how they get there sounds.

Who is FFDP?

Well... I just couldn't resist the upgrade. Got the Gotoh floyd rose for my new Kramer.
