You may have something there. What I've noticed also is that it stutters now and again and when it happens it catches you out.

While I've been typing this I set it away and it's been going in the background and it definitely sounds off to me. Now I know it's not normal to type while the metronome is playing but I've noticed that if you scroll the window or maximise/minimise a window it definitely causes the metronome to falter.

Is this all something to do with the PC Main processor? I've got a fairly new PC so it isn't overloaded.

This needs some investigation by the GT Website bods I think.

Sounds like there's a drunk on the drums :p

I was told by the admin that a new metronome version is in the works to fix various bugs and glitches in the old builds.

I have no timeline on when that will happen.

If it helps, I've noticed improved performance by using the downloaded version, rather than the online version.

Hunter - it's the metronome symbol at the top right of the screen or you can find it in the tools drop down menu.

This problem still exists. Are GT any nearer to fixing it? I'm wanting to use the 'speed drill' feature but the pauses are a nuisance. The problem is still present in the downloaded version.

Any timeline yet?

I would also recommend buying a metronome. You will learn to love it much like a pet.

Once the metronome is in the background, the foreground processes take precedence and it will slow down and speed up, depending on what you are doing.

We are looking at ways to improve this behavior, but ultimately it is a problem with flash that we can't fix. We can only tell flash to do what flash does, and this is what it does.

So definitely put the metronome in the foreground if you want to use it.

It would be nice if one could type in a number. The scroll bar moves the speed by two's. Odd numbers come in handy sometimes.

The old version could do odd numbers I think. Not sure if you could get a link to that now.
...so ever since then, I always hang on to the buckle.

I agree with Chris, I use the download metro and haven't had a problem.
