Hey guys, i have a couple things i think may help. first practicing for more then 3 hours a day may hurt more then help. Keeping total focus on your playing for more then 3 hours is hard to do I find. If you play Everyday then you shouldn't need more then 3 hours of technique because it could put unesissary stress on your body. If you lose focus your playing could become sloppy/inaccurate. The other thing is excessive muscle tension. most guitar players use way too much of excessive muscle tension. Make sure when you are playing anything you think about relaxing everything from you feet on the floor up to your legs, then back, shoulders, neck and face. If you start playing anything fast for yourself and feel any of those areas getting tight then stop. Put the metronome to a crawl and play it again, focusing on using as little tension as possible. relaxing is the key to consistent speed and acuraccy.
