I saw so many introduction post I thought I'd make one myself!

I'm Robert, I live in northeastern Mississippi and having finally graduated from college I decided to get away from constant nose in book nursing and work a little bit in something different.

My father learned to play guitar back when he was a child, and I've always admired him for the way he can play. So now I've decided I'm going to try to learn to play! My dad says he will help me, but I didn't want him to be my only instructor so I signed up here as well.

So hello everyone and thank you!
Robert

Welcome Robert!

What kind of styles are you interested in learning to play?

My Dad taught me my first chords too.

My Dad taught me D and sent me on my way. Maybe A as well. Serves me right, growing up under a guitar player and never learning a chord!

Welcome to the site!
...so ever since then, I always hang on to the buckle.

I enjoy all different kinds, but being from Mississippi I enjoy a little bluegrass and slower music. I've always enjoyed the sound of an acoustic.

Currently I have an electric guitar and a classic guitar with nylon strings (both two my dad left behind during his move) and I've been playing around with both of them.
