Would it be one finger sliding from 13 to 11 to 10 and so forth, or should I crab-claw with 3 or 4 fingers on my left hand?

Thanks, I'm not quite getting the sound I'd like.

No. You would tap the 15th fret with your index or middle finger, wich ever one feels mnore comfortable for you, and have 4th finger on the 13th fret, 3rd finger on the 11th fret, your 2nd finger on the 10th fret and your 1sr finger on the 8th fret.

Or if you dont feel comfortable with using your 4 fingers, you can alwayse use you 4th finger on the 13th fret, 2nd finger on the 11th fret, 1st finger on the 10th fret and then move your first finger to the 8th fret. But this will less efficient.

So I should crab-claw it with all 4 fingers? Darn, I was hoping to get away with just sliding my left index and middle while my right index plays the 15 :(

My advice is dont cheat it, "crab claw" with four fingers and practice slowly, dont expect to play it at the speed you want on the first try. The more you cheat good technique, the more your playing will be sloppy.

Here's my standard answer for questions like this: DO BOTH! :)

Seriously, you should learn to do it both ways, then you can have more tools and options at your disposal.

either way you have to slid to hit the 7 so if you crab claw it your first finger has to slid to the 7th from the 8th and back
it depends how you want it to sound if you like the way it sounds with slides do that way if you want a more clean sound do the wide stretch but either way unless you have 5 fingers you cant hit the 13-11-10-8-7 with out sliding

either sliding from the 13th to the 11th or the 8th to the 7th

it all depends how you want it to sound
like CSchlegel said doing it both ways will help you skills for both but will also let you hear it both ways and then... its up to you
