Chunky Necks???

Hi guys,

I just recently picked up a Telecaster Baja and LOVED the thick neck it was a lovely D shape and I fell for it big time (if I had the money I would have bought it right there and then). I realy find that neck shape easier to play with my big hands.

Here is my question: are there any other guitars out there with a nice chunky neck? I just want to compare...

I also tried a Freshman accoustic with a neck that almost the same size and also loved it so I suppose I have found my "neck".

Too bad I just bought a lovely Ibanez that I thought I loved (till tried the Tele). Now I feel I might have to cheat on the Ibanez and get a new axe.

Some years of Les Paul guitars are known for their thick neck profiles.

If your Ibanez has a bolt-on neck, you might consider swapping it for a replacement from Warmoth.

Or for that matter, you could build up an entire guitar from Warmoth parts.

I think ES335's can have some chunky necks too
