Stay away from Guitar Center. Look in the Yellow pages for an independent music shop and if you can't find one, find a place where they give guitar lessons. Both of those places will be able to recommend a good Luthier. Some Independant shops will have an arrangement with a Luthier.

Or worst case scenario - Go to the Fender site and look up the authorized service center in your area - These are local Luthiers who have been approved to work on Fenders.

Or you could go to www.Fenderforum.com and ask for a recommendation on a Luthier in your area - This is the biggest Fender forum on the Net.
