I initially was hesitant to spend the cash so signed up for the monthly subscription knowing that I could cancel it if I didn't like it.

Well, after 2-3 weeks cancelled the monthly and signed up for a year right away! It really is a bit amazing when you take a step back and look at all you get. The ability to get professional grade lessons at your own pace is sweet, then adding in the ability to take a lesson over and over (and in my case 195.3 times on average to get it right) also makes it worth it in my opinion. Oh, and being able to dl the lessons and view offline is excellent for one who was to travel now and again.

I think the biggest selling point, and my wife will testify, is simply this...

I picked up a guitar a little later in my life than I should have. With work, don't have time for one on one lessons even if I could find a decent instructor in my area. Struggled on my own for the first 6 months where if the wife or the critters saw the guitar in my hands it was an all out frenzy to see which of em could get out of ear shot first! :) Which I will admit was quite fun to watch from my viewpoint!

Now, after maybe 2 months, the pups no longer run and actually seem to enjoy the noise I make, and all the wife says is "Can you turn it down a bit?"

So in a nutshell, after this long winded post, as if you haven't guessed by now, it is certainly worth it. The instructors just plain rock, the interface is easy and intuitive, and the "Beagle from Hell!" endorses it with 5 howls of approval :)
It's better to regret something that you have done than something you haven't.
