like this:

5th fret of low e to tune the a string
5th fret of the a to tune the d string
5th fret of the d to tune the g string
4th fret of the g to tune the b string and
5th fret of the b to tune the e string

In the lesson, the note is backed up 4 frets instead of 5 to compensate.
