Well.. I know it is more of a cartoon than a painting.. still.. it made for a good enough scratchpad subject for me and my hackery..

Les was a crazy mutherf***er.. still is.. everyone who likes to record music owes a great debt to this cat. Back in the day he funded the first multi track recorded out of his own pocket as the companies didn't think there was any need for such a thing. In this photo you can see his early home multi track setup.. he built it himself for the most part.. tape wasn't around yet so he would cut into acetone disks.. you can see the turntable.. he made it from the flywheel of a Caddilac.. he would record directly to the disk, and then record another disk with him playing over the whole thing.. it is incredible if you listen to his recodings today they sound so good..

Well.. here is my little tribute to Les.. something to do on a Saturday afternoon.
