Hi :)

I was wandering of my daily exercises (as usual) and I was recording some licks for fun. Well, while I was recording it I got this creepy 'pinch harmonic' type sound. The only thing I used was a pedal with some disortion and some extra gain. Well, I tough it sounded pretty neat, but I can't reiterate it ! Raaagh ! I've been looking and looking, but I just can't find the same sound. If anyone recognises it and you know how it's supposed to be done, please tell me ! It probably exists allready, so if anyone can give me a name, i'll be more then happy too.
I hope it's allowed to link direct to mp3's here.

you've pinched the harmonic exactly at the half of the string, making the sound one octave higher (you can do it also at other harmonic knots, respectively at the third and the quarter of the string)

Damn that sounds neat, I have no idea how you did it though. It's one of those "one time only" things probably. hehe
(it does not sound like a regular pinched harmonic to me at all)

Btw, I love your signature, well, at least the beer part! :)

A pinch harmonic is produced by touching the string firmly enough to create a node in its movement. In this case I think you were just close enough to touch the string at one extreme of its travel, and it was buzzing against your thumb.

Re: your signature... I have fond (blurry) memories of sipping 'Trapiste' at the end of a hard day!
