Just begining
Hello people,My is Jimmy and I've been learning the chords, doing some fingerpicking and I've learned most of the first half of The Romanza, and i find it so hard to do the barrechord on any fret. May some one let me know if there is some trick to do the barrechord. I know i have to press my index against the fretboard, but some how when i put my index finger across the fret, when i put my middle finger for the chord, then my index finger seems to raise and then i get a tweak. Anyone Please? By the way i have a yamaha acoustic.

Hi Jimmy,
Don't worry, you're not alone, this is a big hump to get over for most players. Here's some tutorials/lessons that may help:

I am also kinda new. What works for me, is locking the index finger & make sure your thumb is pressing behind fret you are barring
your index doesn't need to be perfectly sraight across the fret. play with the angle to find what is comfortable. practice a lot
