would like to learn a specific song

I've just signed onto guitar tricks and was wandering if its possible to request a lesson/help with a specific song I'd like to learn,,, can I contact the instructors about this? thanks,

Direct instruction from a Guitar Tricks instructor is generally restricted to paying members of Guitar Tricks. Having said that however, it really depends on what type of help you are wanting them to provide you with. If it's general help with what scales, or some kind of music theory, you should practise so that you will be able to learn the song then that would be ok. If it's specific, note-by-note, tutorship you are looking for then there could be copyright issues involved that would prevent them from teaching in an online environment such as this.

Also, as there are only so many instructors and they are extremely busy making the huge amount of high quality instructional video content that is available on the site, it is unlikely that they would have the time to spend on detailed instruction for a specific song. I've seen some great and detailed posts by some of the instructors but they generally don't focus on one particular song but rather teach you tricks and tips, and proper musical knowledge, to undertake the learning of any song in that genre.

As the saying goes, "Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he will eat for a lifetime."
