I'm partial to the 24 3/4 scale myself. I have pretty short fingers and, although the benefits might be mostly phsychological, I still go with it. :)

There are some pros & cons to each scale. You supposedly get a better bottom end from a 25 1/2, but a warmer sound from 24 3/4. 24 3/4 is easier to bend.
