Epiphone: Is it like "telephone" or like "epiphany"?

Based on this from reference.com, I would guess it is like telephone:

The name "Epiphone" is a combination of proprietor Epaminondas Stathopoulo's nickname "Epi" and "phone", Greek for "sound".
...so ever since then, I always hang on to the buckle.

lol, thanks! Sorry I had to ask. I just had this thought that just maybe, it was a different sort of wordplay. :)
