Les Paul Suggestion?

Hey guys, i wanted to buy myself an Epiphone Zakk Wylde les paul. But I recently saw a nice Gibson Les Paul Vixen on sale at a store here. Wondering which of the 2 would be better to get? the Epiphone is 100$ more expenssive.

I did a post a few months back and someone told me that i should change my top pickup for a umbucker cause i was looking for a bluesy sound like zack wylde and slash have.

So if the vixen would be better for me i wouldn't mind going that route.

Was thinking of getting a marshall MG30DFX to start with.

I've heard the Vixen is a pretty good tone machine. It's a simple, no frills Les Paul. I might just be partial to the Gibson because I always have been so I'm a wee too biased.

I just got back from Long and Mcquad road trip to ottawa, i bought myself a Epiphone Les Paul Standard with a Line 6 Pocket Pod to play quietly for a while until i learn more. should be enough of a machine for a while?
