Hey All,

My name's John, and I'm new here. I've been involved in music for most of my life (I even have a Bachelor's in Music), but I've never played guitar. I'm hoping to learn a lot here on the site! I currently have a Seagull S6 acoustic, and hopefully in the next few months will be getting an electric. I'm currently leaning toward a Fender Strat, but once I get a little better, I'll probably be playing a bunch of different ones to see what I like.

This site is great so far, it's truly amazing what the Internet has opened up for us in the past decade in terms of information distribution!

John

Welcome to the site. :)
And yup, I agree...all I had when I first started was the book that came with the guitar. The only way to find out new chords & licks was either through your friends or from the library.
