hello everyone

new to the forum, thought i would introduce myself, i'm a delta blues style acoustic player. i recently started moving into electric blues, which is why i ended up here. funny thing i've been playing with my thumb and fingers for years. in fact al lot of people i play with are intrigued by it and are stuck with a pick and wish they could play alternating thumb and fingerstyle. now i'm having a rough time trying to learn to play with a pick. i guess it's payback. i guess i could follow hubert sumlin and just stay the way i am. but the pick seems to add to blues leads.

Welcome to Guitar Tricks! I think it's cool that you developed your own picking style, most of those original blues guys were self taught and had
they're own distinct style anyway but if you learned a pick technique too you'd have 'em both to choose from.
