just joined
hello I just joined, i've gotten serious about the guitar in the last 2 years and so far this seems to be the best form of instruction i've come across. although, the problem is'nt the instruction as much as keeping my self focused long enough to get through the repetative stuff as I build up real personal technique.

Welcome to the site :)
Just take it one day at a time and keep at it.

That is the toughest part..getting through the repetative stuff, even for me now but then these cool little plateaus of success pop up and build on each other. It's really rewarding when you get past a few of those.

Hi Paul and welcome!
I recently joined myself and the instruction here is fabulous. Check out Lisa McCormick's lessons and especially her spider legs practice, those are exceptional for building finger flexibility.

Greetings and welcome. I sometimes take the guitar if I'm going to be watching the tube for a while. I can practice scales and exercises instead of channel surfing when the commercials come on. There's no rule about when or how you get those repetitive things done.
...so ever since then, I always hang on to the buckle.
