Why do I allow myself to go off focus. Rather than learning theory as I should, I get side tracked and start letting my focus wonder elsewhere... I've been bitten by the effects pedal bug. Let me tell you, it's nasty.
Just picked up two new pedals Boss Chorus CE-5 Boss EQ GE-7
Other than good ol distortion, I think chorus is the best effect to have in your arsenal. I've got a gnx4, and I looooove it! Your goal in your sig is not a bad one. The 80's produced some of the best rock guitarists ever. I finally found an old song I'd been looking but I had the band name wrong. It's called Inside Out by XYZ. Excellent guitar jam.

I agree, the 80s had a lot of great guitar work. You just don't hear it anymore. I don't know if it's lack of talent in today's musicians or what. I suspect a lot of it is Hollywood does not want to invest in good bands who have longevity. They wont make as much money.
So I have the following now Boss DS-1 Boss CE-5 Boss GE-7 Boss RC-2
Next pedal is going to be a Boss delay. Not sure which. I've hear the DD-7 is overkill.

Wait untill you get the urge to buy a wah pedal... it's inevitable I'm afraid, you've now started down a long and expensive road! Once you have every pedal known to man you will probably move onto expanding your guitar collection, then amps and rack gear. My studio is like the sales floor of a guitar shop at this stage!

Sheesh. I hope not. I will admit though, I have been interested in pedal mods already. It's a toss up on the one I will mod first, either my chorus or my distortion.
