F Major on classical guitar

I am just learning and have been given a classical guitar, I am finding it near on impossible to play F major!! I understand the the neck is a lot wider on classical guitar's and the nylon strings take a lot of pressure to play a clean note making holding down the E and B stings together very hard.
Should I inveest in a different style of guitar to learn on? My fingers just don't seem to be long enough to play F major....help!!!
