Hey all

Hey guys, and girls, I'm 19 from Newcastle, England. I recently bought a Guitar, and then realized I hadn't a clue what I was supposed to do. I looked into private lessons, but I mate recommended this site, so here I am!

After playing Guitar Hero way to much, I decided to pick up the real thing. For how much time I used up playing that addictive game, I figured I could have learned allot about the basics of playing the real Guitar.

Anyhooo, after watching a few of the free lessons, I decided to subscribe to this awesome site. Keep up the good work and I hope to grow as a player while getting to know the community.

All that's left to say is thanks, I guess :)

Hahaa, I like the Guitar Hero story..good deduction! I think the game actually helps with the timing and coordination part of playing so you're already ahead of the curve.
We'll be taking lesson requests in the Q&A Forum for our new weekly GT Channel on YouTube, MySpace and Facebook. Also feel free to leave questions in our Forum, you can ask instructors individually to if you have a specific question and we'll try to get back to you faster next time, I promise!

Welcome! You definitely came to the right place. Get yourself a full membership - believe me it's a bargain! As a newbie it's so easy to spend your cash on all the learning aids you'll see out there, but few are better than this site.
