I'm fairly new at playing. Currently I have a Strat knockoff, a Kramer Focus that I won for free in a sweepstakes thing a few years back. It's an ok starter, but I want to upgrade to an Ibanez RG. I'm a little scared of the whole Edge III gimic though. On my Kramer I know how to change strings and get it in tune. I can adjust the intonation and action within 5 to 10 minutes. All the stuff I read about this floating bridge thing sounds like you have to be a tech god to do it.

I do want a trem on it though. Shopping around I've found some nice ones for 399 to 450ish. I figured in that price range would be good for an advanced beginner player.

So to sum up my questions. What would you (you being a person with some experience) think about an advanced beginner jumping up to an RG with the EdgeIII trem system. Also can someone clue me into if ibz Inf3 and Inf4 pickups are any good?

Here's the link to the guitar I was eyeing.
