Hey,

I've been a guitar player for about 3 years, and after reaching a brick wall in my playing, I have decided that lessons are definitely the way to go. Since I'm pretty busy and need a very flexible schedule, I decided online lessons were a better solution than a real life instructor.

Anyway, I've pretty much reduced my decision to buying a few months of guitartricks, or a few months of jamplay (perhaps even both if the decision is too difficult). Although I'm sure, this being a guitartricks forum, most people are going to recommend guitartricks, I was wondering if some users who have used both sites could give some in depth advantages of both sites. After doing some online research myself, I am under the impression that guitartricks beats jamplay in terms of music theory and writing music (which I definitely am interested in perhaps as much as guitar playing tips), but I did watch a video of Jim Deeming on jamplay which was very 'inspirational' to me (I feel that if I could learn to not only play, but write a song like the one he plays in his introduction video, I would be a very satisfied guitar player).

So, long story short, I probably am leaning a bit more towards the guitartricks website, but just want to get a bit of advice before I take the plunge...

Thanks

I don't have any experience with other sites, but I can tell you that this site has been great. The instructional videos are very good.

Hey,

i just decided to go with it and order a month of guitartricks. So far I'm not regretting it! I'm especially enjoying Ben Lindholm's acoustic riff lessons... they're exactly what I was looking for!

Yeah I just did a month by month myself. However, I don't see that ending any time soon. I'll be staying for quit a long while. This is an outstanding website for learning.

Welcome to the site. :)

Hehe.. That's why the owners of this site have no problem offering a money back guarantee if you're not satisfied because they know you will be satisfied. I've yet to see anyone dissatisfied by the content here at GT, in fact most people are more than satisfied..

You definitely picked a winner. :)

I like this site, but wish I'd have known about jam play before joining here. They seem to have more over there. I like how they have a songs section.
