Greetings,

I've recently come into possession of a Gibson classical guitar previously owned by my mother, and unplayed for quite some time (she doesn't play at all, and decided to give it to me for Christmas). She got it in the early '60s from a professor of hers, and I'm under the impression that it was made in the late '50s. Is there a way I can track down the production information (I know the serial number and model)?

Thanks!

Hi Mercur,

Here's some links that may help:
http://www.provide.net/~cfh/gibson.html

http://www.guitardaterproject.org/gibson.aspx

and the official Gibson site has info for '77- present. I would suggest writing them an e-mail with your guitar's info if you don't find what you're looking for. Hang on to that thing! :D
